Police said the suspect followed the woman into the elevator of her Bronx apartment building located in the area of Bolton Street and Lydig Avenue in Pelham Parkway. Video surveillance captured inside the elevator shows the knife-wielding suspect speaking to the victim before robbing and raping her at knifepoint. At one point when the elevator stops at the second floor, the suspect is seen looking directly into the camera before scoping out the area to ensure they were alone, before pulling out a condom and performing the violent sex act. The suspect robbed the woman, who appeared to hand over her wallet, of $112 before fleeing the scene.

The family of a 10-year-old girl who choked herself to death as part of a TikTok challenge is suing the video platform for negligence and having a 'defective design.' Nylah Anderson (left) of Philadelphia died was found unconscious in her mom's bedroom closet on December 7. She hung herself from a purse strap after seeing videos related to the 'blackout challenge' on the app's 'For You' page, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in federal court in Pennsylvania. The challenge encourages users to asphyxiate themselves, pass out and regain consciousness on camera. Nylah's mother Tawainna says the company is to blame for her death because the content 'was thrust in front of' her. 'I cannot stop replaying this day in my head,' Tawainna said at a press conference Thursday. 'The unbreakable bond in our family is now shattered and void.' Last year, a 12-year-old boy died after using a shoelace to choke himself as part of the challenge.

An Iowa teen charged in the vicious killing of his high school Spanish teacher will be charged as an adult, a judge revealed on Thursday, along with his 17-year-old classmate and accomplice. District Judge Shawn Showers denied the request for Willard Miller, 16, to be tried in the juvenile court. 'So that's the piece of information we're very uncomfortable sharing.' Naomi, the Kentucky-born singer of the duo The Judds - mother of Wynonna and Ashley - died aged 76 on April 30 after a longtime battle with the disease of mental illness. Police chief General Jorge Luis Vargas told the media that Pecci's murder was most likely linked to his prosecutions of high-profile money laundering and drug trafficking cases in Paraguay.

Troopers Jacob Brown, Dakota DeMoss and George 'Kam' Harper, who are all white, have been charged with battery after allegedly beating a black motorist. They allegedly pulled Antonio Harris off the ground by his braids and slapped, punched, and kneed him while he was face down on the ground. Harris was attacked after leading troopers on a high-speed chase that ended in a cornfield near Franklin Parish, Louisiana. Harris reported led authorities on a 29-mile chase that reached speeds up to 150mph. An internal investigation found the troopers filed 'wholly untrue' reports claiming the man kept trying to flee before they began to pummel him. 'They kept saying: "Stop resisting," but I was never resisting,' Harris told investigators. The troopers also later exchanged 14 text messages peppered with 'lol' and 'haha' responses in which they boasted about the beating. They also allegedly bragged about how the 'whoopin' would leave the Harris with 'nightmares for a long time.' Officer Harper reportedly turned off his bodycam during the beating and Brown allegedly never informed state prosecutors his existed. They will not face federal charges after prosecutors dropped the malfeasance in office charge.

An Australian teacher and meal-prepping pro has shared her excellent trick for reviving stale bread within minutes.  Katie Lolas, who goes by Lady Lolas, recently gave her advice on the best way to deal with bread that is a couple of days past its expiration. 'It wasn't art club, it was GSA, or Gender and Sexuality [Alliance] is what they're calling it now,' the irate mother explained. 'They told the kids that if they're not fully comfortable in their body, then they are transgender. So essentially told my daughter if she's not 100 percent comfortable in her body, that she is transgender.' The group also saw her daughter participate in a 'Genderbread person activity,' Lee said - a lesson in which organizers explicitly asked her daughter and other students in the room about their sexual identity, using a kid-friendly diagram of a gingerbread man (pictured at left).
